Proverbs‬ ‭7:2‬ ‭NASB

As a three symptom immunocompromised person I take the instructions from the medical world seriously. I’m a transplant recipient, over 60, who lived 40 years with Type 1 diabetes. The scientific community says I have a huge bullseye on my health right now. Thankfully I stay pretty active and I’m in pretty good shape, considering. In other words, I’ve lived as rightly as possible, so that when the virus exploded onto the scene I was as prepared as possible. Jesus told a story about preparation before a storm hits our lives, too. Like Solomon in this verse, Jesus describes building our lives on His words (rock) before the storms of life blast into our story. He tells us that is how we not only survive the storm but how we stand through them. I’ve shared with a lot of business leaders in the last couple weeks. It has become very apparent that even though the storm is blasting against them and they may need some paint and a few tiles and windows replaced, that when the storm passes (and it will) they have dug into and are clinging to their rock foundation. The goal today for some is to survive knowing that as the storm settles they will thrive. The world, employees, customers, clients and others, are watching everyone and those of us planted on The Rock will be revealed now more than ever. Today, stand firm on The Rock! #BeTheEdge

“Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭16:13‬ ‭NASB‬‬
