Proverbs 12:15 NIV

“This chapter continues praising righteousness and handing out smackdowns to wickedness. The wise and righteous don’t mind and actually benefit from being rebuked, but the wicked don’t—for one thing. This chapter continues to recapitulate earlier points—being good pays, and being bad doesn’t, basically.”  (Shmoop) You have to love the basic nature of that description. There are times when a passage of scripture screams for a deep dive into some really heavy truth. There is no doubt that this chapter offers the opportunity to do that. But, as the previous quote shows, clear truth is powerful, unavoidable and always available in Gods word. I have heard way too often over the years someone say they struggle to understand God and His instructions. Thankfully God has made His truth known since the beginning of time, even to the point that we stand without excuse when we claim, “I didn’t know”. Or “I didn’t understand!” God’s truth is available to children. If they can understand then at times we are making it too complicated. Now there is no doubt, as I said earlier, God has buried treasure throughout His word. But, truth to live by stares in our face and shouts in our ears if we will look and listen. He wants us to know it even more than we want to know it. Today listen, read, learn and love the simple yet powerful truths of our creator God. #BeTheEdge
