Proverbs 13:20 NASB

I am currently studying my way through the New Testament. I was struck today while reading Matthew 9 about the story of Jesus healing the paralytic. To me, every story where Jesus heals is awesome and this chapter is full of them. However, what I find fascinating in this particular story is that it tells us when Jesus saw his (the paralyzed man) friends’ faith he heals him. I have to tell you that in over 45 years of following Christ, the concept of the faith of these friends being the key to their buddy walking again is one of the most powerful and challenging examples of faith to me. I have to ask myself regularly whose life is Jesus changing because of my faith. Where can those I live, laugh, and love with see me living in faith, not just talking about my faith, but actually witness me living my faith in such a way that Jesus changes them through that witness. Who am I living such a life of faith in front of that I am literally bringing them into the presence of the Almighty? Today, be an instrument of God’s healing in the lives around you through the example of your faith. #BeTheEdge
