Proverbs 14:12 NASB

I’m pretty much amazed at how many times I’ve set out on a course only to be upended on that journey by God’s plan. After over 45 years of walking with Jesus in His Father’s kingdom you would think I’d know better.  About 125 days ago, I walked (with a little cockiness) into a meeting to lay out the next four years of my career in the area ministry I was employed with. Thirty minutes later, I left with my head spinning, wondering what I was going to do a week later. Today, I am serving with an amazing ministry with a much larger impact and a mission and vision that could change the face of business across the nation. My plans were small, but His are huge. Mine plans lead to comfort, His lead to growth. I was with a team operating out of fear, He led me to a team that knows only promise, not fear. About 2000 years ago, a few shepherds went out to check on their flocks. When that night was over, they, and the rest of the planet, were changed for all of eternity. Their plans were intercepted by the Author of life itself. He is the Creator, Sustainer and Redeemer of all who turn to Him. A baby in a manger rocked the shepherd’s world back then, and He rocked mine four months ago. Today, He is either rocking yours or will a few times in the years to come.
