We all face times of testing – that’s just the way life goes. However, there were a few times in our journey that we were all tested at the same time: war, 9/11, riots, and now a pandemic. Collective testing calls us to some level of collective response. We as a society can grow stronger, more resilient, and aware of a power bigger than ourselves at work. Or we can be driven apart and toward destruction. Seldom has both of those responses happened at the same time. Today is one of those times. Our society is being strained at the seams. God is here, active and sovereign. We have the collective, yet more importantly, individual ability to learn, grow, and be instruments of peace, love, and kindness. While others have the freedom to choose their response as followers of the resurrected Savior, we really don’t. Oh, we can ignore His claim on our life, at least for a while, but ultimately, we are called to be a light in the darkness showing the way to the solid, rescuing, safe port in the storm. Today, remember who you are in Christ and look for opportunities to reflect that in a time that desperately needs to see Him. #BeTheEdge
