Proverbs 18:2 NASB

“You know what people don’t talk enough about? Masks. I wish I knew everyone’s opinions about them.” I laughed out loud when I saw this on social media, yesterday. Five years from now, this will probably seem like a very dumb question to most people. The stress we are currently experiencing has elevated a lot of people’s emotions, to the point they need to speak their every thought and opinion. I know a number of business leaders and have some great friends who have not said a word about masks or any of the other hot topics of the day. One group goes about their life and business knowing that others already have strong and passionate beliefs about the days’ issues, and knows that sharing theirs will either reinforce another’s opinion, or start a tussle. The other group, sadly, needs to let their opinions out because the stress is overwhelming them. They believe that articulating their opinion will help them feel justified in their anxiety. The first group (who remain calm and silent) brings a sense of comfort and peace to this trying time. The other just elevates the tension in the storm. Today, live in the confidence of your Sovereign Father and let your quiet calm infect those you encounter. #BeTheEdge
