Proverbs 19:3 NASB

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly God is blamed when something goes wrong. I’ve watched many people over the years make hasty decisions that don’t turn out well. Sometimes they even reach out to God as the results turn negative to rescue them. Ultimately, they made a bad choice and He gets the blame. Another mental trick is to blame Satan. As a great Christian thinker once said, “Sometimes Satan gets credit for our bad decisions.” I have also watched people who have no relationship with God be quick to point blame toward Him for all the bad things going on in the world. I’m a pretty good planner, now. I haven’t always been. It’s just not the ADD way. Over time and with much pain I have gotten better at seeking God’s plan and going in that direction with Him. One of the great lessons from Henry Blackerby’s book, Experiencing God, is to see where God is already at work and join Him. This simplifies the struggle of getting God’s hand on our work. Today, check your plans and be sure they’re His, first. #BeTheEdge
