Proverbs 20:6 NASB

“Dogs are loyal friends, and if they could talk, your secrets would still be safe. (If my cat could talk, I’d have to let the dog eat her.)” ― Richelle E. Goodrich, which is why Oliver Tremble said “… my advice to you: Love like a dog.” You’ve probably heard the saying that if you have to tell people how humble you are, you’re probably not. The same goes for loyalty. I had a staff who use to like to tell me she was very loyal. Turns out that for over a year she was working to undermine me behind my back. Loyalty is in short supply these days. Friends are discovering that those they have counted on think very differently than they do. Consequently, their friends are “ghosting them” (which is a term I only learned in the last year). Ghosting is when you disappear on someone through social media – don’t answer texts or calls, etc. Our Labrador Retriever always knows where my wife is, and he’s never even been in our house. He is at the window nearest to her at all times. Watching and waiting. My daughter’s family lab goes to the lake with them. He jumps in the water whenever one of her children does and tries to drag them to the dock, which can be a bit of a nuisance. Today, love and be loyal as God designed you to be. If that’s a challenge, love like a dog. #BeTheEdge
