Proverbs 20:6 NIV

I know who these people are in my life. It has taken decades, in some cases, to discover which ones I was right about and which ones I was wrong about. Today, I have a list longer than any man deserves. When my son recently went to be with the Lord, it was very unexpected and sudden. Immediately after his accident, I began to hear from many people, both those I knew and those I didn’t, all expressing how his undying love and faithfulness had impacted them. It even eternally changed some of them. It was an amazing and powerful experience. I also witnessed every part of our family respond in a way that was almost supernatural. My group of unfailing and faithful friends rose, as I knew they would, in a way that was truly humbling and inspiring. And I’ve watched God work. True godly friendship inspires a searching and hungry world. As those outside God’s family see how His people love and care for each other, they long for that as well. Often, it is that attractive characteristic that reflects our heavenly King and draws the lonely and searching to Him. Today, be that friend. #BeTheEdge
