Proverbs 21:30 NASB

Politicians, business leaders, social activists, and even ministers are offering never-ending advice. They always have, but these days it seems even more prevalent. Add to that group the usual suspects who are a “wealth or counsel” – actors, musicians, neighbors, and every other person with access to a platform, looking for a listening ear. The number and volume of voices challenges us even more to sift through the manipulative and self-serving to find the truth. The great advantage we have is the perfect measuring stick to hold all these voices up to so that we can discern truth. God’s Word offers total, unquestioned truth and we each have multiple copies at our fingertips. We are without excuse for identifying truth. It is a matter of setting the filter that all information flows through to enter our mind and spirit. Today, vigorously embrace God’s word, and when what you hear contradicts it let it go, and where it affirms it grab hold, dwell there, and let it settle deep in your spirit. #BeTheEdge

“Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.” Philippians 4:8 NASB
