Influencing culture for the Kingdom

Proverbs 23:18 NASB

“Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.”

Do you want to know why Jesus was born? I mean the real reason. There it is. Re-read that verse. A future and hope; that is what was born at the first Christmas. What Jesus brought; what God sent was the promise of tomorrow. and a beautiful, powerful tomorrow at that. He brought what many in the world are still looking for – the confident assurance that we are valuable, loved and here for a reason. Jesus brought access to the relationship we were created to have, adoption into the family of God. We have available through Him a relationship with our Creator. We have a future that is securely in the hands of the Almighty and sovereign Owner of the universe. How can anxiety, fear or stress rule in our spirit if we know God has us securely in His hands? When we are in full ownership of this truth, we find a peace that goes beyond understanding. That baby in the manger embodied every promise we will ever need, every hope we should ever have, and a future that is brighter than the sun. Today, let that truth put a smile on your face, a bounce in your step, and spill over into the lives you encounter.

“For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 NASB
