Want some good news? Read that verse again. There it is. This truth has been a much-needed reminder many times throughout my life. At 11 years old, when I was told I was a type 1 diabetic and would need a shot every day for the rest of my life, I needed this truth. When I failed an important test. When we were told my wife had cancer. When she breathed her last. When I was fired. When my son went to join his mom in heaven—and hundreds of other times, both big and small—I needed this promise of a future and a hope from God. We live in a broken and fallen world, and we all need a reason to have unshakable hope. Here Solomon shares God’s offer of that hope. It is found in His Son. The reality is that I will never be cut off from Him by the worst the world can throw at me—not even death. Neither will you. That is the beginning of the fullness of our hope in Him. There is no hope in heaven. We don’t need it any longer. All our hope is fulfilled. Today, live with that unshakable hope. #BeTheEdge
“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” 1 Peter 5:10 NIV
