The “Freedom From Religion” organization seems bent on keeping believers from sharing their Savior with those in the world who desperately need one. The power of the Gospel compels us to share – yet the message from the lost world is we can’t. Penn Jillette, an atheist illusionist and comedian, quoted in The Atlantic, saying : “I don’t respect people who don’t proselytize. I don’t respect that at all. If you believe that there’s a heaven and hell and people could be going to hell or not getting eternal life or whatever, and you think that it’s not really worth telling them this because it would make it socially awkward. . . . How much do you have to hate somebody to believe that everlasting life is possible and not tell them that?” I believe that he, as an atheist, may have given as honest an assessment of those of us who know the answer to eternal life and don’t share it freely as I’ve ever encountered.
