Proverbs 2:9 NIV

A few verses after this one we read about crooked and devious paths. In this chapter Solomon reminds us that there are many paths people travel on in this life. As a matter of fact no two people travel the exact same path through life. This makes for an exciting planet. The main two distinctive elements in our journeys, perhaps the only two that ultimately matter, are that at any given time every human is either on the good path, Gods design, or the devious path, satan’s design. The good news is that when you deviate from Gods path He will redeem it if you turn to Him. The other important point in this truth is that we need to recognize the beauty of each persons individual paths. Too often we can expect others to walk the same path that we are called to walk. It is a real challenge for parents to not expect their children to be “clones” of them or even what they see in other children. The power of an individual, free to be who God created them to be, is an awesome thing to observe. It is Gods potential unleashed in His power on a planet where they bring an impact that no other human possibly can. Think about that for a minute. Over my many years of ministry I have been approached to do many things. The first thing I ask myself is, ‘can anyone else do this?’ If the answer is yes then I don’t do it. I believe we are called to take the unique path laid out for us and not hinder others by jumping into theirs. Today follow God’s call for your story and stay in your lane. #BeTheEdge
