Proverbs 29:10 NASB

There is a lot said these days about protecting the vulnerable. Protecting those susceptible to serious consequences if they contract COVID-19 is posed as the reason for the young, vibrant, and healthy to wear masks and social distance. Protecting children from abuse and trafficking because they are unable to protect themselves is another example. Scripture is full of examples of good kings and leaders and heroes of the faith protecting those who need looking out for. God, Himself, models looking out for the innocent and vulnerable, and He protects us from the Evil one by His Spirit and His presence. The ultimate act of protection is the innocent Savior giving His very life to protect us from the eternal separation we all deserve. Who are you looking out for today? There is no shortage of opportunities. Today, wear a mask, speak up for a victim, share a resource, do something on behalf of the poor, the vulnerable, and the innocent, and reflect the heart of your Redeemer. #BeTheEdge
