Proverbs 29:25 NIV

Over the years I have watched as some are willing to trade or even ignore their relationship with the Lord. Some trade it by hiding it. They are silent because of what those they are with might think of them. They are afraid if they speak Truth.  They may no longer be invited to the parties or the other social gatherings. Sometimes they hide their faith because they don’t fully understand the importance of being salt and light in our broken and hurting world. They don’t consider the exciting, or frightening, reality that they could quite possibly be the only Bible someone ever has  the chance to read or the only Jesus someone gets the opportunity to see. Literally another’s salvation may depend on them being a clear witness of their savior. Others who don’t know Christ might avoid responding to God’s invitation out of the fear of others rejection of them as well. “So they never come to Jesus because the fear of man, which bringeth a snare, keeps them still as the hopeless slaves of sin. But, young man, do you mean to be damned just to please somebody else? Do you mean to fling away your immortal soul in order to escape the laughter of fools? Remember that they may laugh you into hell, but they cannot laugh you out again.” (Spurgeon). Don’t let whichever condition you are in today, lost or saved, be influenced by the misplaced fear of others. Today allow Gods Truth to change you and live boldly for Him. #BeTheEdge
