Proverbs 30:4 NIV

I just had a great conversation for a long time friend who is an ER doctor. In the course of our conversation, as always happens, we talked about the reality of God in our lives and in the world. As one who always struggled to pass science classes I’m intrigued to hear him discuss science and God. In this conversation we ended up talking about the involvement of God in nature and the unmistakable hand of God throughout creation. Here Agur challenges the reader to try and explain the inexplicable nature of the God who set the heavens in place. He asks, ‘Who can pretend to have had the command of the winds, to have grasped them in his hand and managed them, as God does, or to have bound the waves of the sea with a swaddling band, as God has done? Who has established the ends of the earth, or can describe the strength of its foundations or the extent of its limits?”  (Henry) The other great reality we see in this passage is that Jesus exhibited control over these things. He told the winds to stop, the waves to calm, the tree to die and numerous other examples of His power over nature, even giving life back to the dead. Today look and see the power and creative beauty of God all around you and give Him His due. #BeTheEdge

“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” Romans‬ ‭1:20‬ ‭NIV‬‬
