Proverbs 30:5 NIV

Flawless. Ponder the depth and reality of that word. It is either the height of arrogance or a simply stated yet mind boggling, earth shattering truth. What would it take for us to have one day of flawless words? Being in a coma is most likely the only way that happens for me. Flawless. If you didn’t do it a moment ago, do it now…ponder the word. A flawless work of art. No such thing, as a matter of fact the flaws are sometimes how they are recognized. Flawless execution. Only by a machine possibly and they won’t last for eternity. We live in a fallen world. Its a spiritual truth but if you don’t want to take the spiritual truth then let’s go with the second law of thermo dynamics: simply put, things don’t get better with time. Maybe wine but even that will not improve forever. Flawless describes the words God has or will ever speak, author or whisper into every recess of His creation…and beyond. Are you getting the idea? This is one reason He tells us not to mess with His flawless perfection by misquoting, manipulating, rewriting or in any other way messing with His flawless word. The closing words of His book come with frightening warnings for those who would add to or take away from it. One reason is that when His flawless word became His flawless Son on our deeply flawed planet He made it very clear exactly Who and what His word is, was and will forever be. Ok, now I feel I’m getting a little redundant, even overbearing with the whole flawless word thing. My motivation is partly that we as a world and even Christian community can forget the power of this basic truth and get a bit flippant, even silly, with His word at times. Today recommit to your valuing of every word of your father. #BeTheEdge
