Proverbs 31:9 NASB

How do you judge righteously? First off, judging doesn’t seem like something we should even be about. Drawing conclusions based on God’s truth is probably a little safer. And, in a time when we are being pushed to take one side or another, with no encouragement to see below the bluster and dig for truth, it’s tough to spot the genuinely righteous. Go ahead and be political, if somehow that energizes you (a little less on social media might be nice though). Hey, one of my degrees is in Political Science, so I get it. But, putting that aside as followers of Christ and looking into the real hurt and pain in the world around us, as challenging as that is, is important. God calls us to put in the effort. It is sad to see suffering anywhere by anyone. I don’t need a “woke” lecture – they seem to come mostly as destructive or meaningless lectures. God’s word is very clear. Solomon gives us a great start in this chapter of Proverbs. The lessons continue throughout, and really who can argue against, “Love one another.” There is a lot more where that came from. Today, instead of telling others what to do, let’s hear what God tells us to do and do it. We may actually see others challenged by that more than by our social media posts. #BeTheEdgd
