Proverbs 4:18 NIV

I have always liked this verse. Maybe because I love early mornings in the springtime. Dawn of that first Easter had to be this type of experience for Jesus followers. They just spent the night in darkness, fear, trembling, sadness and doubt. How about you? Have you spent time in the dark? Been fearful, sad, even doubting? At times we all have. The greatest Truth of resurrection day is that Jesus overcomes all the influences, the thought processes of darkness. He rose to take us on a journey of Him shining His powerful, redemptive light into our darkness, even deep in the corners. He does not shine His light to expose things for shame, guilt or condemnation. He shines the light to expose for healing, cleansing and freedom. In the light of day following the resurrection, strolling along the beach at day break, Jesus restored Peter after his betrayal in the darkness of night on Good Friday. How about you? Are there places in your story that need the healing, cleansing light of the resurrected savior to shine on today. As His light shines on us it is able to shine through us brighter and brighter as He does His redemptive work in us. Today walk in His light and be refreshed and restored by His Easter gift. #BeTheEdge
