Proverbs 6:19 NIV

Anybody seen communities in conflict recently? Yep, me too. Now in reality there have been some deplorable things that have unsettled some communities in the past year or so. Couple that with financial and physical lock downs then add the threat of a disease that has killed millions and there is plenty of kindling to start a fire. I meet regularly with a group of community leaders who are in dialogue about how to be sure we are ready to respond if an incident, which has the potential to be incendiary, occurs here. It involves walking as a group and as a community in the truth. To be out front making sure that the light of day shines on whatever may occur. Just as importantly is the understanding among this group that it will also stay out front and not give a footing to that person or group who’s only purpose is ‘stir up conflict in the community’. Solomon is clear that God stands against those people. Today review how you are living in these times and be sure you reflect the heart of God when there is turmoil in your home, at work or in your community. #BeTheEdge
