Proverbs 7:1 NIV

Solomons basic meaning in this verse is more than store up His commands so that you have them but rather get them into your life as though you cannot live without them. In the same way that it is never suggested by science that it’s good to have food and water around but instead we are clearly taught that those things are essential to live. God’s truth doesn’t come in handy. His commands aren’t good ideas. They are the very difference between life and death, often physically but always spiritually. You see life without God’s truth is barely life. It may be existing but it can hardly be called life. Before we are enlightened by Gods truth and His Spirit we literally have a dead spirit. As we grasp the truth of God’s word and we are “born again” or as Dr. Graham put it, “Born from above” life enters our existence. At that point we require feeding. That is “every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Jesus Mt.5) Today live as though your life and it’s sustenance is based on God’s commands and regularly feast on them. #BeTheEdge
