Proverbs 9:12 NIV

I have been in court a lot lately. None of the cases involving me other then certain positions I fill that make it necessary for me to show up and pay attention. In each case it is very clear who is in the right and who is in the wrong. Judging is certainly more difficult because legal benchmarks must be met or laws in place need to be tweaked. None the less, there is a clear distinction between each party in the cases I’ve sat in on or are up coming. Solomon let’s us know in this chapter that both God and Satan set out their case for our alliance and our soul. They are clearly defined and what it costs is clearly spelled out. The design very simply put before us is life and death, good and evil; and there doesn’t need to be put forth a more fair case to determine which of those to choose, and surrender our hearts to. So why is it such a struggle for so many? Selfishness and pride.  If the cases I mentioned are really so clear you have to wonder why they are in court being argued before judges. It boils down to the simple fact that someone wants what is not theirs or they are to prideful to admit wrong, make things right and walk away. I’m not a lawyer and I’m sure they can give legal reasons these things are in court. God gave His people judges because they were not able to work things out or be willing to be wronged. Today be sure you have chosen the grace giver and seize the opportunity to show grace, #BeTheEdge
