“I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and I find knowledge and discretion.” Proverbs 8:12 NASB

A great theologian and commentary writer taught and firmly believed that wisdom in the book of Proverbs always represented the pre-incarnate Christ. When we read Solomon’s writings with that in mind it brings great clarity and specificity to his teachings and sayings. For example, when we read this verse, we see that “Wisdom, here is Christ, in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge; it is Christ in the word, and Christ in the heart; not only Christ revealed to us, but Christ revealed in us.” (Henry) As followers of Jesus we have access to the wisdom of eternity. Do we know all of it at conversion? Nope. Our heads would explode. But with the access to God’s wisdom, we are on a lifelong journey of learning. It has been said that if Jesus became a book, He would be the Bible. More importantly it has also been said that if Jesus spoke to you today, He would quote scripture. It is God’s design to reveal Himself to all of us through His words, and that begins in His Son who told us when we have seen Him, we have seen His Father. Want Wisdom? Get to know Jesus. Today, dive deeper into knowing Jesus and unlock greater access to the Wisdom of the universe. #BeTheEdge
