Recently, I heard one of my favorite comedians doing a routine about getting into disagreements with his wife. It was very entertaining, and the conclusion was that, no matter how hard he argued, he always ended with the admission that she was right. He said that even though he knew that would be the case, he stepped into the arguments anyway. It is a hilarious routine, partly because every married couple can see themselves in the story. That being said, I am sure that neither he nor his wife really enjoys fighting. Some people do seem to thrive on starting and continuing arguments, often, it seems, just for argument’s sake. Some are determined to win regardless of whether they are right or wrong. I once told my boys that in marriage, being right doesn’t mean a thing. Like in all of life, doing right is what really matters. I told them they were smart enough to fight and still win most of the time. However, I also told them that if they chose that path, they should be prepared to live a lonely, sad life. In business, we can do the same thing. However, it is much easier for someone to walk away from a job, leaving you to search for new staff. Today, live kindly and let everyone win. #BeTheEdge #LoveJesusBeKind
