Hebrews 11 is known as the heroes of the faith chapter. Then in the next chapter we’re reminded of the great cloud of witnesses who are watching as we live our lives and serve the Lord. My kids were still relatively young when their mom passed away. Knowing the things that she was proud of and blessed by in the lives of her children, I tried to always let them know how proud their mom would be of them. Their eyes would light up as they recognized who their mom was and how, in the very best moments of their lives, they reflected her. Her name was a blessing in their journey. I’m convinced that she, as well as many other great followers of Christ in all of our stories, cheer us on as Paul describes, as we live daily to represent and walk faithfully with our God and Savior. One of my goals in living life is that when I’m gone, my grandchildren will remember me not only fondly, but as a committed follower of Jesus Christ—so that the heritage in their history will bless and challenge them. We all have the opportunity to live lives that are either a blessing or a curse to those closest to us. Today, be a blessing. #BeTheEdge
