More than once we see Jesus taking a limited amount of food and turning it into an almost endless supply. A few fish and loaves feeding thousands doesn’t make mathematical sense. A kid with a few things packed by his mom for his lunch should probably have been hidden or at the very least hoarded by the kid for himself. I know this is a Bible story, so we don’t think hoarding is allowed, but these were real people; the temptation to be sure you had enough for yourself first was just as real then as it would be today. We see that Jesus seemed to inspire the best in those He met. A few of the religious people He encountered exhibited their worst, but for the most part when people came in contact with Jesus, they left better for it. Today, let Jesus have your little and watch Him multiply it to meet the needs and bless the lives of those you encounter.
