Proverbs 11:4 NIV

It is also worthless when you have terminal cancer, a fatal car wreck, a life ending heart attack or when you are lost at sea. Get the pattern here. In other words, we may not quickly grasp the concept of ‘the day of wrath’ but we can certainly envision situations where $1 or $1 million doesn’t offer one bit of security or a solution. Solomon cuts through all of that by telling us that if we face God the moment after our final breath without being covered in the righteousness of His Son’s sacrifice we look into the awaiting wrath alone and completely broke. The good news in this truth is that your life, soul, is valuable beyond any amount of wealth you could ever accumulate. You cannot afford the ransom for your soul but, God can and has already paid it. He swapped a life for a life. The perfect, flawless, second person of the Trinity willingly laid down His life in exchange for yours. Priceless. Today be sure you have allowed His ransom to pay your debt and live like the redeemed. #BeTheEdge
