Proverbs 12:25 NASB

I spent the day anxious yesterday. Not sure if that’s a confession of sin or statement of fact. I’m going with the fact. Just feels a bit safer. Feeling anxious is certainly normal and everybody deals with it to one extent or another. But, Solomon is correct that whether it is momentary or sustained it definitely weighs down the heart. In my case it tends to just make me sad. It doesn’t happen to me often but when it does I have to tell you I go in search of a good word. Not someone to build me up or speak words of encouragement. I just wanna hear some good things. Could be a song, could be a positive report about somebody’s life, could be a smile from a stranger. I don’t really have a tight definition on what that should look like. The point here is that God wants us to always be ready to speak a word of joy, peace and love to others. We never really know when they need it and, truth being told, we probably all need it regularly these days. Today speak life, joy and peace to all those you encounter. #BeTheEdge
