Proverbs 1:33 NASB

I watched a few weeks ago, with the rest of the country, as two young children from different states were taken and ultimately found dead; a teenaged girl is still missing, 80 thousand people are fleeing their homes to avoid a raging wildfire, and on and on it goes with frightening news. Today, the world is raiding shelves for masks and sanitizers as we contemplate an epidemic of global proportions. There is no doubt that we live in a dangerous and scary world. I didn’t even mention that there are more than 40 active conflicts around the world at the moment. There are approximately 332,197 robberies and 17,000 murders a year in the US. Statistics like these are boundless. There is ample reason why we are the most anxious, medicated population that has ever lived. However, God offers a solution. Listening to His words and living by them does not keep us from all risk. But it does give us the confidence of knowing that nothing enters our story without first coming through Him and finding Him with us when it arrives. That gives us peace, confidence, and security. Who couldn’t use more of that in today’s world? Today, look to God as the Author of your journey and find confidence in that while you watch Him write the next chapter. #BeTheEdge
