Proverbs 14:25 NASB

Valery Legasov said, “What is the cost of lies? It’s not that we’ll mistake them for the truth. The real danger is that if we hear enough lies, then we no longer recognize the truth at all.” The consequences of a lie – sometimes the consequences are small but sometimes they are significant. Regardless of external costs, the internal effect of a lie is like a cancer or rot at the core of the person who tells it. We begin to allow a lie to reside in our soul and it dulls our ability to recognize the pure truth. Jesus called Himself the Truth. There is no deception in Him, and He will not tolerate deception in His followers. We live the biggest lie when we hide our relationship with Christ. When we don’t allow the light of Jesus to shine through our words or actions, we are deceiving a world that is literally dying to find a Savior. Today, let the Truth of God’s presence reflect on everyone you encounter. Go out and #BeTheEdge.
