Proverbs 14:35 NIV

‘Let God Be True’ puts it bluntly, “The difference between successful men and losers is the degree to which they are wise or foolish.” I usually appreciate blunt truth. It kind of cuts through the potential misconceptions. This is not a reflection on the king as much as it is a clear view of the reality in all areas of man’s life. Who doesn’t appreciate a wise person in their journey whether an employee, a child or even a friend? Conversely, you would be hard pressed to find anyone looking for shameful people to add to their life. Another implication in this verse is that the king respects the wise person. Wisdom, when practiced as a way of life, brings respect with it. I greatly respect the wise people in my journey. It is not just because they are wise but because that wisdom brings actions and counsel that comes straight from the heart of God. He alone is the source of all wisdom. The underlying truth in this verse is that God’s men and women, who walk in intimate relationship with Him, bring His light into our story. Today walk in the wisdom of God. #BeTheEdge
