Proverbs 15:23 NASB

During a recent rough time in my journey, I found myself out for meals or in phone conversations with long-time friends. Invariably, the conversation turned to what was going on in my life and how it got to that point. Usually, out of respect for the other parties involved, I avoided going into the details. Regardless of my evasiveness, the friend I was with easily discerned enough to realize the pain and frustration my family and I were experiencing. Quickly the conversation moved into a time of great encouragement coupled with some powerfully deep and wise counsel. I received words of insight and direction which caught me off guard in their frankness and boldness. Each time upon leaving, and later pondering, I found peace restored to my soul and a joy in my spirit that I desperately needed and was struggling to find. Today, when prompted, speak love, peace, and truth to a friend. You never know how God will use it.
