Proverbs 15:3 NIV

“He sees you when you’re sleeping. He knows when you’re awake.”We all recognize these lyrics but in any other context than a Childrens Christmas carol this is the opening plot to a horror movie. In this verse we see the positive and upside to an all-powerful, benevolent King of the universe totally seeing us all at all times. “God sees all and will render to each according to his deeds at judgment time.  He will also support in this life those whose hearts are wholly His.  He will enable them to bear abundant fruit to His glory.  God keeps account of all the evil that evil people commit, and they will face His wrath one day.  The righteous will not face God’s wrathful judgment for their sin because Christ paid the penalty for it.” (Relevant Bible Teaching) That is a pretty clear distinction. As His followers we have nothing to fear. As a loving and caring parent watches over their young child to direct and protect, our heavenly Father watches over us for the same reason. In reality we always want Him watching over us. The idea of being outside His watchful care should leave us feeling vulnerable and at great risk. Even the lost should fear the absence of God’s presence in today’s world. Today live with the awareness that He watches over you 24/7 and be thankful. #BeTheEdge
