I mentioned this verse to my 16 year old granddaughter at dinner last night. Her view was, “We do what we think is morally right but the true right answer comes from the Lord.” Interestingly this came at the end of a lengthy discussion about the way she sees fellow students as well as adults argue over their opinions. She made the observation with disappointment in her voice about how important it seems to be that a person gets to feel right. She also observed how some people were so intent on being right that they didn’t want anymore information out of fear that they may discover they are wrong. They’d rather feel right and be ignorant. Smart kid. Solomon allows in this verse that we are free to stay ignorant but those truly looking for truth will ultimately find it in God. Today be wise enough to know you don’t know everything and listen and learn from others but for finality seek God. #BeTheEdge
