Proverbs 16:3 NASB

I encounter a lot of people who express concern because they are very uncertain as to whether they are in God’s will for their life. That can be very unsettling. The beauty of God’s will is that He is in control of it. Our responsibility is to walk in intimacy with Him and allow Him to work out His will in our life. We walk with Him and He handles the direction. One of my core values is to live life doing the next right thing. Beyond that you cannot control, but He can. Life for us unfurls as a series of doing the next right things and adjusting (and repenting) when we don’t to get back on track. I find tremendous comfort in the words Paul wrote to the Ephesians to walk forward, and as they do they discover the works that they encounter were placed there waiting for them by God. Today do the next right thing and watch God at work. It’s powerful.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10 NASB
