We are not robots. My theology definitely leans to the understanding that we have a choice in obedience to God and willingness to surrender to His control. However, in surrendering, we do not suddenly cease to have a calling and thoughts of our own. It does mean that we willingly allow God to be the owner and strength to our journey. Everything we think and do certainly should be done to His glory. And guess what, everything you think and do are still yours. He’s just taken on the burden of our thoughts and actions as we place them on Him. This verse also carries a sense of finality that we are to roll our life onto Him and leave it there. Don’t take it back. That way they are no less our own, just less of a burden. Who doesn’t need that in their life these days? As we surrender, or turn over, our works to God, our thoughts and plans find confidence, clarity, and eternal purpose. Today, give the control of your life to God and watch your works take on an eternal, infinite, purpose. #BeTheEdge
