Proverbs 16:4 NIV

I once sought guidance on how to handle a potentially broken relationship. I had received great counsel; however, it was all over the board, and I found myself no better off as a result. Ultimately, I reached out to a longtime brother who always seemed to have a clear, concise view of God’s perspective on a matter. His response came with strong support—standing with me no matter what I chose to do. Essentially, he reminded me of this truth: God’s great desire for all of us is reconciliation and redemption. Reconciliation can be painful, but it’s often quick. Redemption, however, can take time. God is not in a hurry the way I tend to be. I see the goal—at least, I think I do—and I want it now. But God is weaving an eternal story with so many intricate pieces that my finite self could never grasp even the tiniest part. This is where faith comes in. Reconciliation is the beginning of my place in the redemption story. One day, when we stand in our Heavenly Father presence, all the pieces will fit together like a beautiful orchestra playing a masterpiece flawlessly. I chose not to compare it to a puzzle, because a puzzle is finite and stagnant once complete. An orchestral piece, by contrast, is alive, vibrant, and fills every space it touches. God has a perfect plan. Today, watch as it unfolds. #BeTheEdge
