Proverbs 19:3 NIV

Satan “was a powerful angel, possibly the highest of all, known as the anointed cherub. He was believed to be exceptionally beautiful, wise, and held a position of leadership and authority in heaven. Some believe he led heavenly worship and had close access to God’s presence. However, his pride and desire to usurp God led to his rebellion and subsequent fall.” Pride and selfish desire certainly fit Solomon’s description of a person’s folly. Lucifer truly had it all, but in his arrogance, he lost everything. His inheritance became as dark and dreadful as one could ever imagine. After serving in the presence of God at such an esteemed level, he fell as far as was eternally conceivable. Like so many who bring disgrace and destruction upon their lives, he chose to blame God and to work against Him for all eternity. He is now bent on leading as many souls as possible to eternal death. He stands diametrically opposed to everything our great God and King stands for. Yet those of us who recognize their own folly, repent, and turn humbly to God experience the gift paid for on Good Friday and delivered on Easter Sunday. Today, live obediently and gratefully in His grace. #BeTheEdge
