Proverbs 20:3 NASB

It is a wonder of human nature; maybe a dark observation, but amazing, none the less. Everyone has buttons to push, and some people appear to get great pleasure out of pushing them. When my siblings and I were much younger, I remember having a friend over for dinner. I heard my brother whisper to him, “Do you want to see Trisha cry?” Then he looked across the table at my 6-year-old sister and sang, “Trisha has the wooden chair.” She burst into tears and bedlam ensued as the place erupted into chaos. Cruel, but not atypical of us kids. Today I watch adults in more subtle ways, but with just as cruel intent, abuse one another emotionally. Honorable people avoid such temptation and such people. Today, in this strife filled world, chose the honorable path.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” Jesus
