Proverbs 2:1 NASB

I was recently reading a money blog – I have no idea why, but the title caught my eye. It was: “10 Things to Value More Than Money.” Being in ministry and business, how could I skip reading it? I did find it interesting that in the opening paragraph, they mention how these 10 things could ultimately help you financially (I guess they couldn’t resist). Number 9 caught my attention: “Your Faith: Your spiritual beliefs, whatever they may be, are a massive part of what makes you an individual. Spend time searching the answers to life’s big questions.” What we treasure or value determines not only where we invest our time and energy, it ultimately determines who we are. We can own something and even enjoy its benefits without allowing our heart to treasure it. That is a good attitude to have towards “things and stuff.” Our relationship with our Creator God needs to consume us; it needs to be more valuable than anything in our story. As this blog implied, if we have that one thing right, everything else will line up in a healthy way. Today, reevaluate your priorities and be sure the thing you value most is God’s Truth in your life. #BeTheEdge
