Proverbs 21:28 NASB

I just read the 100 greatest quotes of history. I’m not entirely sure they really have the greatest, certainly not enough from the most read book of all time. However, most were very inspiring and challenging and were from successful people with trusted voices. A large portion of them were from men and women of faith. Most of us tend to remember things important people spoke into our lives. As Forrest Gump liked to say, “Momma always said…” We are especially drawn to people who speak truthfully. I have always detested willful lying – someone who lies is seldom looked to for counsel. The truth is a powerful thing; lies are destructive, but the truth is life-giving. There is a reason that the second person of the Godhead referred to Himself as “The Truth”. It is also instructive that He did not call Himself “a truth”. All truth comes from Jesus, and Satan was referred to as the father of lies. Learn God’s word. Let it instruct your life. Today, live in the Truth. #BeTheEdge
