Proverbs 23:1 NIV

“Saturnino de la Fuente García died on Tuesday morning in his home in León, Spain as the oldest living man at 112 years and 341 days old, just days before his 113th birthday” (Guinness World Records Report) He was reported to have said the secret to a long life was simplicity. He also mentioned a quiet life and do not hurt anyone as key ingredients to the simple life. I believe I would have liked  El Pepino as he was known in his home town of Leon Spain. Solomon would have liked him too. Here Solomon talks about the virtue of the unpretentious and unassuming. Those who were content with their calling in life and although diligent and hardworking they were satisfied to live the simple life God called them to. Like El Pepino, Jesus did not dine in earthly palaces or feast with the important. He did preside over a last supper that, though simple in presentation continues to rock the planet in significance. Never assume the value or limit the impact of what God will do through the quiet, simple, kind life. El Pepinos life philosophy spread around the globe within days of His death. A simple carpenters changed the planet over the past 2000 years. Today live simple and kind and watch God work. #BeTheEdge

“Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce. Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:5, 7‬ ‭NIV‬‬
