God always knows how to get our attention. It seems pretty obvious these days. Throughout my journey in God’s Kingdom I have understood that God loves us too much to let us stay the way we are. He is committed to conforming us to the image of His Son. There are two ways He can get us there – if we walk in obedience with Him or by being dragged in, kicking and screaming. The choice is ours, but God’s commitment won’t change. Good parents understand this. If our children obey, we can gently lead them; if they don’t…. well, spare the rod and all that. I would never pretend to know why God has allowed a global pandemic, but I can state a few things with all certainty. This did not surprise Him. He will work in and through His followers during it. He will use it to continue His process of conforming us into His Son’s image. He assures us through Paul’s writing that “…all things work together for the good…” Today, don’t weary yourself chasing your own agenda, but diligently pursue His and watch Him work. #BeTheEdge
