Proverbs 24:3 NIV

Solomon shares a lot of contrasting views in many verses in proverbs. The “wise this and the foolish that”sort of thing. One of the reasons I began studying a chapter in Proverbs daily years ago was that a friend convinced me that like all of scripture God’s wisdom is vital for a Kingdom focused life. Proverbs is known as one of the Books of Wisdom in Hebrew literature. One of the first things that strike me in this verse is Tabatha it’s two positives. They actually build on each other. We build the very core of our marriage, business, family, all of life, by the wisdom of God. And by understanding, here meaning “prudence, probity, and the fear of God”, it is established, finds deep roots. This verse speaks directly to a man and women about their family and to all of us about the Church. How different the world would be if every family found itself firmly started in God’s wisdom. What sin and disfunction would be avoided that hurts and ends marriages. The family unit is the perfect visual of God’s design throughout scripture for both good and bad. This verse is no different. Today be sure God’s wisdom is foundational to all your efforts and watch His truths build them to last. #BeTheEdge
