The word muster is usually a military term that means to basically rally the troops, to get them together and ready to go to war. The use of the word here means literally to make strong or fortify. I’m a fan of the times Scripture talks about us as God’s followers having access to His great power. Unlike pursuing power in life or business, this power speaks to the strength of the Lord in our story. I have a close brother in ministry who reads through the Bible and highlights certain words and concepts in particular colors. When the Bible uses the word power, he highlights it in yellow. There are only two words he treats the same way. When he reads about the Holy Spirit, he also highlights it in yellow. To him and to God, the Holy Spirit represents the power of the Trinity.
