Proverbs 24:6 NIV

I have always liked the scene from the movie “Thirteen Days”. The movie is about the Kennedy White House handling of the Cuban Missile Crisis (under 50 google it). There is a particularly tense scene where Kennedy’s team is expressing being at wits end with trying to figuring out how to handle the information that the Soviet Union (google it) is shipping nuclear weapons to Cuba to aim just 94 miles away at the United States. At a particularly intense moment Robert Kennedy says, “get a dozen smart people in a room and leave them there until they come up with the solution” or something to that effect. So they did. It has always been my contention that a group of smart, and I add Godly, people working together can solve anything. I have faced a number of significant challenges in my life. Live long enough and we all do. Over the years I have built an informal team of smart, godly co-travelers and advisors. There has never been a challenge, whether losing a job, getting a transplant or burying a wife, that they have not stood beside me and counseled me through. Even this past couple weeks they have been rock solid. Together we dare Khrushchev (Google him) to try and bring his missiles into our territory. More exactly we face the threats from Satan and life in general together knowing our God has the answer for every challenge. Today check in with your advisors and keep them close. #BeTheEdge
