We are gearing up to offer a Biblical Worldview training for business leaders soon. One of the main points of the training is that we are called to be the answer to Jesus’ prayer in Matthew chapter 6. When He was teaching His disciples how to pray, He said to His Father: “Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” A key element of this training is the understanding that our businesses and our lives are to be used as part of the answer to that prayer. We are to help usher in God’s Kingdom by representing it to everyone we encounter. As Solomon shows us in Scripture, this representation is not to be abrasive or harsh. Interacting with God’s people—regardless of setting—should leave others feeling blessed and refreshed. We bring hope, love, and truth. Sadly, not every messenger brings these qualities. Only those who genuinely represent God and His Kingdom do. Jesus showed us how to do this through His ministry. He modeled it for us, and His Spirit continues to speak to us in the depths of our hearts. We are called to fulfill the greatest commandments in being His representatives: Love God and be kind. This will look different in various situations, but the result should always reflect well on our Savior. We are called to serve in the unique lives God has given us. He doesn’t want us to be carbon copies of our favorite preachers or leaders. Ultimately, we are to point clearly and consistently to Him. Today, bring His Kingdom wherever you go. #BeTheEdge
