Proverbs 25:2 NASB

I just saw an Instagram picture of one of my son’s tattoos – it looks like sticks lined up beside each other. He said that was copied from a drawing found on an ancient Viking death ship and translates to: “Man knows little.” I can agree with that, but much more importantly, God tells us that. During our current crisis, I see a lot of people trying to figure out why God has allowed it to happen. I know for a fact that he knows where every COVID-19 cell, cancer cell, and any other micro illness in any human body is. I also know He could destroy them all in an instant if He desired to. He wants us to learn something at this moment. He also wants those who don’t know Him to learn about Him by watching us in this crisis. One of the great gifts mankind has received from God is the ability to learn. Learning can be fun, exciting and a great adventure. I don’t know that I could have been convinced of that in Mr. Klemets 11th grade chemistry class, but in general God gave us different interests and talents. It is our task to study and learn as we develop those areas. There is so much to know. That same son of mine has a YouTube channel called “Fixin’ To Fail.” For certain reasons I don’t recommend following it (PG-13+), however, the idea it is based on is that learning through figuring things out as you go is fun, exciting, and what we were made for. It also encourages the idea that failure is just part of the learning journey. As Thomas Edison said, “I failed my way to success.” I tell my staff I’m all for excellent failures. Start the journey by pursuing wisdom in the mind and heart of The Creator. Today, get wiser and enjoy the journey. #BeTheEdge
