Proverbs 25:26 NIV

Living in the south and being country adjacent I have seen a lot of cow pastures. I have also seen pastures that are strictly used for farming. The difference between the ponds in each place is essentially seen around the waters edges. The pasture with cows has ponds where the edges are muddy and cause the water to be murky and filthy. The ones in pastures without live stock are pristine looking and relatively clean. Solomon wants us to picture how the wicked, like the cow, muddies the water and created a nasty pond. The water is present but its appeal and usefulness is lessened or destroyed because of its polluted nature. The same goes for us. We are prone to allowing the evil influences of this world, entertainment, media, even certain relationships, to lessen and pollute our influence for Gods Holy and pure influence. The reality of heaven is that it is pure and sinless. The rescue Jesus brings into our lives is the cleansing of our sin and restoration of purity in our soul. This in turn makes us acceptable to heavens perfect standard. God takes our filth and purifies our soul. It also makes our influence desirable to a broken and hurting world. Today remain pure in Him. #BeTheEdge

““Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” Isaiah‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬ ‭NIV‬‬
